Metal Tourism: America to Japan

A ten-day itinerary built around live houses, underground bands and participation rather than mainstream sightseeing.

KAALA’s roleTour design, local access, guiding and event production
Relevant toFans seeking direct access to the underground

Finding a Japanese underground show is only the first obstacle. Visitors also need to understand local ticketing, timing, geography, venue culture and how to participate without treating the scene as a spectacle.

  1. Designed a May 18–27 itinerary around underground concerts and scene participation.
  2. Connected the tour to bands including Retch and Forward and to KAALA’s ten-band Tower Vol. 2 mini-festival.
  3. Combined route planning and local context with the practical logistics of entering unfamiliar live-house networks.
  1. Decibel Magazine independently profiled the model immediately before departure.
  2. The work established the documented foundation for KAALA’s current Fan Tours offer.
