COVID-19 removed the room, the door and most of the ordinary economics of a live show. KAALA tested whether low-cost paid streaming could put money back into a venue while creating a durable performance record.

  1. Produced a ¥500 Floaters proof-of-concept stream with ZAIKO from El Puente.
  2. Developed the experiment into seven numbered Korona Nights installments featuring underground artists and supporting live houses including El Puente and Earthdom.
  3. Filmed and published full-set performance documentation rather than reducing the project to promotional clips.
  1. The short Floaters test generated ¥18,900; the reported final split was 70% to El Puente and 30% to KAALA after the band redirected its share.
  2. The series received independent coverage from The Japan Times, Tranquilized Magazine and Unite Asia.
  3. Seven numbered installments survive in KAALA’s official video record.
